MICHAEL SIGMANN
Founding Director & Lead Facilitator, The Gateway ~ Men's Inner Journey

While working as a Chief Communications Officer for a Fortune 500 company in Chicago, Michael’s shift into the field of personal transformation occurred in 1995 while attending the Miracle of Love (MOL) Intensive in San Diego. After four years of intense devotion to the MOL path Michael was asked to leave the organization because of his sexual orientation. In the years that followed Michael began to realize that not a single path, religious, spiritual or otherwise existed that supported gay men on their quest to find inner peace.

In 1998 Michael set out to change that by creating the ‘Men’s Inner Journey’ retreat. The following year he began his Masters Degree in the field of Transformative Learning at CIIS in San Francisco. In 2000 Michael began work on the ‘Journey Into Love’ the first workshops of its kind to strengthen the integrity of gay relationships. Shortly thereafter, the Celebration of Love was created to provide a similar transformational experience for women. In 2003 Michael founded The Gateway for Integrated Consciousness, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the growth of gay culture on an individual and community level. In 2006 Michael completed the Oneness Program at the Oneness University in India.

Michael is an accomplished author, artist, performer, workshop facilitator and public speaker. Currently, Michael is working on developing the third and final stage of the Inner Journey process, a nine day intensive yet to be named.
